Honoring Our Veterans

As we celebrate the Shalom Y’all Jewish Food Festival over Veterans Day Weekend, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to our veterans for their service and sacrifice.  This year we will have special booths dedicated to honoring those who have bravely served our country.

National Guard Youth ChalleNGe Program:
We are pleased to announce the return of the Ft. Stewart's National Guard Youth ChalleNGe Program this year!  Join us for an opening ceremony that will feature a Color Guard presentation, highlighting the spirit of our young future servicemen and women. These young cadets from Fort Stewart will also be volunteering their time at the Shalom Y’all Festival.  Be sure to greet them and let them know how much we appreciate their efforts.

The Youth ChalleNGe Program was established by Congress in 1993 to turn around the lives of young men and women between the ages of 16 and 18 who are experiencing difficulty in completing traditional high school. This is a tuition-free program open to Georgia residents.

Swag Bags for Veterans:
To show our appreciation, we are offering complimentary swag bags to all veterans, available while supplies last!  To receive a swag bag, please present your military or VA ID card at the Veterans Booth.

Support our Veterans:
We’re also providing an opportunity for everyone to contribute to a meaningful cause.  You can donate your extra festival tickets or cash to our collection jar, with all your proceeds going to a veteran charity (the selected charity will be announced shortly).

Get Involved:
If you’d like to help enhance our swag bags with donations of items, please reach out to KT Celiz at Ktceliz@mickveisrael.org.  Your generosity will help us create a warm welcome for our veterans and show them they are truly appreciated.

Join us in celebrating those who have served, and let’s make a heartfelt tribute to our heroes!  Thank you for your support!
